Mary Mac

Mary MacMary Mac was born and raised in the Southside of Glasgow. She began her training, age three at Betty McMurtie School of Dance where she received Merit in RAD Ballet Grade 1-5. Several appearances with local amateur company Southside Singers followed including Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Annie in Annie and Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun. Mary quickly signed up to a âsupporting artistesâ agency in Glasgow and had her first taste of real fame when she appeared as a floating corpse in the hit Scottish crime drama Taggart. Realising she had much more to give, she decided to leave her life in Glasgow behind and head for the bright lights of London where she was spotted singing in a karaoke bar in Chinatown and immediately signed up to TAT Agency and is currently living the dream in London, working Front of House but has appeared in various cabaret shows throughout London aswell as starring in two of her own shows âA Midsummer Nights Drag!â at Above The Stag Theatre in Victoria and âBoys Who Do Girls and Girls Who Do Boysâ which Mary hosted onboard The Battersea Barge and also in Freedom Bar, Soho with a live band a guests from the West End and Mary also has her own one woman show, âMary Mac is Musical Theatreâ which she has been performing throughout the UK!! Mary briefly left the footlights behind for an appearance on Sky Oneâs âLouie Spences Showbusinessâ where she got to strut her tartan stuff and sing to the nation aswell as being asked to perform in the LIVE show hosted by Louie at The New Wimbledon Theatre in London.
